THE ROLEThe AV Support Specialist provides client-facing audiovisual and technical support for small- to large-scale events, including in-person, hybrid, and virtual experiences.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSConsult with clients and internal stakeholders to assess event requirements and determine the appropriate audiovisual systems, equipment, and configurations.
Attend event-planning meetings to review timelines, technical requirements, and audiovisual needs.
Document and maintain accurate audiovisual requirements and technical specifications for each event.
Set up, test, operate, and break down audiovisual equipment safely, accurately, and within established timelines.
Support small- to large-scale meetings and events, including on-site and hybrid video streaming, camera configuration, video switching, audio mixing, and virtual-platform support.
Record and edit event video content as assigned.
Conduct pre-event and in-event walkthroughs to ensure audiovisual systems are operational and performing as expected.
Monitor event technology and respond promptly to client requests, equipment failures, and other technical issues.
Diagnose and troubleshoot audiovisual software, firmware, hardware, videoconferencing equipment, and related system failures.
Replace defective equipment and components before, during, or after events to minimize service disruptions.
Track client-support requests, system failures, resolutions, and required follow-up.
Escalate complex or unresolved technical issues to advanced support teams, leadership, or external vendors, as appropriate.
Maintain audiovisual equipment, systems, and related components in reliable operating condition.
Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for point-of-sale systems, escalating issues when necessary.
Assist with the installation, configuration, maintenance, upgrading, and troubleshooting of venue computers, printers, point-of-sale systems, and related equipment.
Collaborate with IT team members, particularly Service Desk personnel, to resolve assigned tickets and technical issues.
Maintain current knowledge of venue systems, applicable technologies, organizational operations, and established standards and practices.
Protect confidential client, Company, and technical information.
Support sister properties and other locations as operationally necessary.
Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations; complete required Company-wide and job-specific safety training; and consistently practice safe work habits.
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

EXPERIENCE Associate degree in audiovisual technology, information technology, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of two years of professional experience supporting audiovisual systems, live events, videoconferencing, or related technical operations.
Experience with Active Directory and point-of-sale systems, preferably Oracle MICROS, is preferred.
Experience supporting computers, networking equipment, peripherals, wireless microphones, push-to-talk systems, multichannel audio mixers, broadcast cameras, and video switchers.
Crestron certification is preferred.
Biamp/Tesira certification is preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILITIESWorking knowledge of Microsoft applications and operating systems.
Demonstrated ability to configure, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain audiovisual and related technical equipment.
Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to quickly learn and independently support new technologies.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain technical information to nontechnical stakeholders.
Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills, with the ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with clients, colleagues, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize responsibilities based on operational urgency and event requirements.
Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and consistently follow through on responsibilities.
Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Ability to manage confidential client and Company information with discretion.
Ability to remain composed, responsive, and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime, based on operational needs.
