About The Nighthawks:The Upper Valley Nighthawks are a collegiate summer baseball team based in White River Junction, Vermont, competing in the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL), one of the nation’s top wood-bat collegiate leagues. experience in a fun and fast-paced sports environment. Internship Information:• Opportunity to Earn College Credit (dependent on school approval)• Access to professional-level baseball operations and media production• Ability to broadcast to numerous networks (HUDL, ESPN+, and Unbeaten Sports)• Networking opportunities with NECBL coaches, players, and league officialsResponsibilities: • Serve as the team’s on-field and online reporter, conducting pre-game, in-game, and post-game interviews with players, coaches, and staff• Develop, produce, and publish social media content (photos, videos, interviews, recaps, behind-the-scenes features) across all platforms• Collaborate with the broadcast and operations teams • Ensure all content aligns with team branding, tone, and league standards• Co-host weekly podcast with play-by-play broadcaster interviewing staff, players, community members, etc. Requirements: • Currently enrolled in Communications, Journalism, Sports Media, or a related field• Strong on-camera presence with the ability to interview confidently and professionally• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills• Proficiency with social media platforms (Instagram, X/Twitter, TikTok, Facebook) and basic analytics• Experience with photo/video editing tools (Adobe Premiere, Canva, CapCut, Photoshop, etc.d Benefits:• Host family provided• Gym membership included• Free meals after every home game and select road games, and additional free meals from local restaurantsWe are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
