Position OverviewThe Community Relations & Special Events Intern will support the planning, coordination, and execution of community outreach initiatives and special events for Carolina Ascent FC and Charlotte Independence professional soccer teams. experience in sports management, event planning, and community engagement. Key ResponsibilitiesCommunity Relations SupportAssist in organizing and executing community outreach programs, including youth clinics, charity events, and public appearancesTrack and report on community engagement activities and impactTake charge of Game Day traditions and be the main point of contactSpecial Events CoordinationSupport the planning and execution of game-day operationsAssist with pre-event logistics, including vendor coordination, materials preparation, and site setupProvide on-site event support, ensuring smooth operations and positive fan experiencesHelp manage event timelines, checklists, and post-event recapsQualificationsCurrently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Sports Management or a related fieldStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and game daysPositive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environmentPassion for sports and community engagement
