Job DescriptionThe Fargo Force are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to join our Ice Crew for the upcoming season. experience for our fans. ResponsibilitiesPerform pre-game, intermission, and post-game ice maintenance, including glass cleaning, shoveling, scraping, and flooding the ice surfaceAssist with the application of water and other treatments to maintain optimal ice conditionsOperate the parade zam for fan rides during pre-game, intermissions, and post-gameOpportunity to learn how to operate an ice resurfacerIdentify and repair ice imperfections, divots, and cracks to ensure a smooth and safe playing surfaceAssist with the installation and removal of ice for the start and end of the season, as well as during arena conversionsAdhere strictly to all safety protocols and operational procedures related to ice maintenance and equipmentWork collaboratively with arena operations staff, game day personnel, and other crew membersAssist with general arena setup and breakdown tasks as needed to support overall event operationsCommunicate effectively with supervisors regarding ice conditions, equipment status, and any issuesQualificationsAbility to perform strenuous physical tasks, including shoveling, lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods in a cold environmentComfortable working in cold temperatures and a loud arena environment for prolonged durationsStrong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of ice qualityProven reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethicAbility to follow detailed instructions and work effectively both independently and as part of a teamStrong commitment to safety and adherence to all workplace rulesFlexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on the event schedulePrior experience in ice maintenance, arena operations, or a similar physically demanding role is a plus, but not requiredSkating experience is preferred A passion for hockey and a desire to contribute to a successful team environmentWhat You'll GainHands-on experience in professional arena operations and specialized ice maintenanceDevelopment of valuable skills in ice care, equipment operation, and teamworkOpportunity to work behind-the-scenes in a dynamic and fast-paced sports environmentOpportunity for open ice timeContribution to player safety and the overall fan experience at Fargo Force gamesNetworking opportunities within the sports and entertainment industry* This job will also have the opportunity to work during the NCAA regionals at Scheels Arena in March 2027We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
