    ABOUT US VenuWorks of Fresno, LLC., an employee-owned private management company, is located in the vibrant community of Fresno California, home to a diverse community with a deep pride in the area. Fresno is the state's fifth largest city and the San Joaquin Valley's largest metropolitan city. Many consider Fresno to be the perfect size city that offers both the best of urban amenities and opportunities with the unique appeal and environment of a small town. Fresno is located just 90 minutes from the famed Yosemite National Park as well as Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. Numerous lakes and two major rivers, including one of California's finest whitewater rafting rivers, are also in Fresno's backyard. The sun shines for more than 300 days of the year in Fresno, making it a great home in every season. VenuWorks operates the Fresno Convention and Entertainment Center (FCEC) on behalf of the City of Fresno, which consists of four entertainment venues. The Selland Arena is a multi-purpose arena that boasts the largest general admission floor in the region allowing for a capacity of 9,200. The 2,351-seat Saroyan Theatre is a busy commercial venue for the regions performing arts. Valdez Hall, a versatile 32,000 square foot hall seats up to 2,500 guests. And finally, the Exhibit Hall features three separate halls that can be combined to form a 66,000 square foot column free hall, nineteen meeting rooms and a full-service kitchen. Additionally, two parking facilities consisting of a 300-space lot and 1,000 space parking garage are located adjacent to the four venues and are co-managed with the City of Fresno. VenuWorks of Fresno LLC operates the FCEC with partner ATG Entertainment, who is using their extensive theater management portfolio to program and manage the Saroyan Theatre. ATG Ticketing will be the exclusive ticketing vendor for the FCEC. Additionally, all catering and concessions will be provided by a local third-party vendor contracted directly with the City. The Executive Director will be expected to manage these relationships. VenuWorks seeks an Executive Director that embraces an employee-owner model of leadership including the following qualities: (a) a servant LEADER that sets the pace and values leading a group of professionals and encourages growth, learning and development; (b) a COMMUNITY leader that builds relationships and engages with the contract administrator(s); City leaders, and community stakeholders in a positive and uplifting manner; (c) a COMMUNICATOR with strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task and with strong organizational ability; (d) and a BUSINESS leader that can perform effectively under significant pressure typically associated with the timetables of the live entertainment industry and manage the operating and financial decisions in a competitive market across multiple business units and operating partners. SUMMARYThe Fresno Executive Director is a senior professional in the industry that will oversee the management, promotion, and operation of the managed venues in all facets including operations, sales, marketing, finance, food and beverage, security, IT, production, technology, capital projects, partnerships, special events, community relations, sustainability, branding, and all other related departments. The Executive Director is responsible for shaping the overall culture, direction, coordination, and evaluation of the team and facility. This executive will also be responsible for maximizing the number of events and revenue opportunities at the venue and will work in unison with City of Fresno and community stakeholders to maximize the amount of regional and national events taking place in those managed venues. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. overview of financial and accounting systems, financial projections and controls, and personnel management.5. Maintain daily oversite of all operations and event activity at the FCEC, assuring successful coordination and attainment of annual goals.25. Ensure the operations of the venues are conducted in accordance with applicable local, state and federal regulations.27. Oversee staff compliance with all OSHA, NFPA and other risk mitigation initiatives and comply with VenuWorks insurance reporting policies.28. Maintain emergency preparedness within venues, along with compliance with licensing procedures, codes, and permits.29. Oversee specific plans and programs prescribed by VenuWorks’ corporate direction, to include Human Resources, Sales and Marketing, quality assurance, operational efficiency, safety/emergency procedures, and crowd control.
