Position Description: The Concessions Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Concessions Manager in overseeing event day operations of the ONT Field Concessions areas and Bars.
Essential Functions:Ensures all Concessions outlets and designated Bar areas are properly set before guests arriveOversees Concessions and Bar Staff during eventsTrains Concessions and Bar on department standards and proceduresMust be able to read and understand par sheets, stand sheets and requisition ordersMaintains existing equipment needed for outlet areas and BarsOrders all replacement items and equipment under the direction of the Concessions ManagerEnsures all requisitions to the Warehouse and Kitchen are received in a timely manner, in accordance with Company policy.
Coordinates with Kitchen on the timing and production of functionsMust possess effective communications skills to liaise between Kitchen and Warehouse TeamsMust possess effective pre-planning and execution skillsMust have strong and effective floor operations skillsCommunicates with the Event Manager to make all necessary schedule changes for all functions Follows responsible alcohol service policiesSupervises and coordinates Concessions Attendants, including training on company and departmental standards and providing constructive and corrective feedback as neededEnsures a positive and impactful guest experience by delivering professional and courteous guest service.
Receives and facilitates any catering guests' requests and ordersAnalyzes and resolves problems with associates, guests, and the operation with the assistance of the Concessions ManagerLearn and be comfortable with all food and beverage menu items to effectively complete financial transactions and answer guests' questions and upsell when for maximum profitabilityEnsures all event day food and beverage orders arrive in a timely manner and quickly addresses any discrepancies with warehouse and Concessions ManagerMaintain a clean, organized, stocked and safe areaImmediately reports any low inventory and safety and maintenance issues to Concessions ManagerCompletes and assists Concessions and Bar staff with opening and closing duties as outlined according to departmental standardsResponsible for performing end of month inventory for all Concession and Bar areas according to inventory standards.
Oversee proper presentation, preparation and service needs in conjunction with all food and beverage departments to ensure the highest standards are metBe prepared to execute last minute changes, inspect service set ups in time for all staff final call. Imperative to hold pre-function meetings to discuss operational plans, etcTake initiative in recommending and implementing new standards or systems with Concessions Manager's approvalFosters a cooperative and harmonious working climate conducive in maximizing employee morale thus increasing overall productivityAdheres to the utmost client confidentiality.
Abides by all Company policies in the Human Resources Policies and Procedures, the Business Code of Conduct.
Other duties as assignedExperience/Training/Education Requirements:Must be a minimum 21 years of ageBachelor's Degree (BA) in Food & Beverage Management or related field desiredPrevious customer service and cash handling experience is a plusMinimum 1-2 years' experience in supervisory level position in Food and Beverage or equivalent training experienceMust be flexible, have a sense of urgency, be able to respond quickly and resourcefully to internal and external issues working knowledge of food production techniques, purchasing, and sanitation proceduresExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to take tasks that are not clearly defined and appropriately define problem, propose and implement solutionsMust be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidaysLicense/Certificate:A valid food handler’s card is required for this position. The company will cover the cost of the training and compensate employees for the time spent completing the course. The certification must be obtained within 30 days of the hire dateTIPS CertificationAbility to:Provide a two-way communication and nurture an ownership environment with emphasis in positive motivation and teamworkAbility to work with minimal supervisionAbility to interact with all levels of customers and staff including managementAbility to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hoursCommunicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all staff and vendors.

Positive attitude and neat appearanceWork ethics encourages strong urgency and quality in a team environmentPhysical and Environmental Requirements:Tasks are performed with moderate supervision without assistance for 40% of the workday; pushing and pulling doors open, lifting, stooping, bending and lifting at least 25 lbs. Walking for long distances for more than 50% of workday. This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours. Employees may be scheduled to work until 12:00am or later. Must be able to pass the background.
