Perth, Australia | Australian Baseball League (ABL)The Perth Heat are seeking a passionate and creative Content Creator / Videographer to join our media team for the 2026/27 Australian Baseball League season.
This is an opportunity to spend an Australian summer embedded within one of the country’s most historic and successful professional baseball organisations, helping tell the story of elite baseball in Western Australia through short-form video, social media, and fan-focused digital content.
We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes modern sports content — someone who understands how to capture pride, atmosphere, emotion, community, and high-performance sport in a way that connects with audiences online.
While videography and editing are the primary focus of this role, we’re also looking for someone comfortable operating across broader social media and content responsibilities, including posting content, writing captions, creating Instagram Stories, basic photo editing and graphics, and understanding how content should differ across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and X.
This role works closely with Ever Brands (our digital marketing agency leading strategy and content development), Barefoot Media Productions (our long-form production partners), the ABL media team, Perth Heat staff, interns, players, and coaches.

What You’ll Be DoingContent Creation & VideographyCapture high-quality short-form video content across the seasonProduce engaging content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, Stories, and XShowcase the sights, sounds, pride, and atmosphere of Perth Heat game daysCreate player-focused, fan-focused, and behind-the-scenes contentCapture emotional moments, celebrations, interviews, and community interactionsEdit content quickly for real-time posting and engagementAssist with basic photography and game day visual storytellingSocial Media & Digital ContentAssist with posting content across Perth Heat social platformsWrite engaging and platform-appropriate social media captionsCreate and upload Instagram Stories and game day updatesFollow the Perth Heat visual identity and style guideUnderstand platform trends and adapt content accordinglyAssist with simple graphic design and photo editing where requiredWork collaboratively with interns and the broader media team to maintain consistent content outputCollaboration & Creative DevelopmentWork closely with Ever Brands on campaign direction, strategy, and weekly prioritiesCollaborate with Barefoot Media Productions on larger storytelling initiatives and long-form productionsCoordinate with the ABL media team on league-wide collaborations and player promotionsWork with players and coaches to create engaging social-first contentHelp mentor and guide local and international social media interns throughout the seasonContribute ideas for trends, theme nights, activations, and fan engagement initiativesPre-Season ResponsibilitiesThe role will likely begin before arrival in Australia through onboarding and remote collaboration opportunities.

Season & CommitmentThe Australian Baseball League season runs across the Australian summer (approximately November 2026 – January 2027), with pre-season onboarding occurring beforehand.
All Perth Heat home games are played across Thursday to Sunday throughout the season.
Applicants should be available for the entire season and comfortable relocating to Perth, Western Australia for the duration of the role.
