OverviewAcrisure Arena is seeking a Building Attendant who will directly assist in the setting up and tearing down of events as specified by event setup plans.5

ResponsibilitiesSet up and remove stage, risers, seating, tables, flooring, etc.

Perform strenuous physical duties at times, including lifting, carrying, moving, walking extensively throughout the building, working from various heights, and around moderate to loud noisesOperate equipment such as light trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, boom lifts, scrubbing machines or other light power-driven equipmentOther duties assigned, including but not limited to assisting other departments as neededQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED.

Experience supporting staff to work together to accomplish projectsAbility to give clear instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written formComplete knowledge of operations procedures to facilitate changeoversForklift operator certification is requiredDemonstrate knowledge in operational procedures, facility capabilities, industry terminology, event-related services and technical requirements for the types of events anticipated at the facilityWorking knowledge of electrical and mechanical riser system repair, preferredAbility to work long hours and varied schedules (majority overnight conversions)Must be self-motivated and work under little supervisionAbility to prioritize tasks in the most productive and/or appropriate manner.
Excellent safety record and work ethicPossess any licenses, certificates or training required by local, state or national authorities for the operation of the equipment found in the facilityExperience operating equipment such as light trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, boom lifts, scrubbing machines or other light power-driven equipmentOrganize and able to prioritize work and work of others to meet deadlinesWork effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate resultsMaintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons and others encountered in the course of employmentMust be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays requiredAble to lift heavy objects as needed.
