Position Type: Seasonal (May - August 2026) Location: Clinton, IowaPosition OverviewThe Clinton LumberKings are seeking a reliable and knowledgeable Scorer / PrestoSports Stat Datacaster for the 2026 season. This position is responsible for the accurate live scoring and statistical input of LumberKings home games using the PrestoSports live stats platform. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of baseball rules, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced game environment. This role is vital to maintaining official game statistics, live broadcasts, league reporting, and the overall fan experience. Responsibilities Input live play-by-play statistics and game data using the PrestoSports stat platform Make accurate scoring and judgment decisions in accordance with official baseball rules Communicate with game operations, broadcasters, scoreboard operators, and coaching staff when necessary Ensure statistical accuracy and timely reporting throughout each game Assist with stat corrections and postgame reporting as needed Arrive prepared and on time for all assigned games and team events Qualifications Strong knowledge of baseball rules, scoring, and statistics Experience scoring baseball games at the high school, collegiate, or professional level preferred Familiarity with PrestoSports, DakStats, StatCrew, or similar live stat software is a plus Ability to stay organized and focused during live gameplay Strong attention to detail and ability to make quick judgment calls Professional demeanor and dependable attendance Availability for the majority of LumberKings home games during the 2026 season Preferred Skills Previous experience as an official scorer or live stats operator Experience working in collegiate summer baseball, college athletics, or professional sports Familiarity with scoreboard operations and in-game production environments Ability to troubleshoot minor technical issues during games CompensationCompensation is hourly and will be based on experience.
