We are seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as independent contractors, serving as Data Reporters. This unique opportunity allows passionate sports fans to engage directly with live games, reporting real-time play-by-play and scores using our proprietary mobile tracking application. This is a solo, field-based role focused purely on accurate data capture, not traditional sports writing or news reporting. Key ResponsibilitiesTravel independently to assigned sporting events within your local area. Scout games meticulously to capture live, accurate details of play-by-play actions and scores. Utilize Akara's dedicated mobile live tracking application to input data in real-time, ensuring precision and speed. Maintain a high level of focus and concentration throughout the duration of games, often under dynamic conditions. Adhere strictly to all data collection protocols and guidelines provided by Akara Markets. Communicate effectively with Akara Markets support when technical issues or discrepancies arise. Required Skills & AttributesProfound passion for sports, with a strong understanding of game rules and dynamics. Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Ability to concentrate intensely for extended periods in a live game environment. Reliable access to a smartphone and proficiency in using mobile applications. Strong time management skills to ensure prompt and complete coverage of assigned events. Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule. Must be able to travel locally to various sports venues. Preferred QualificationsIn-depth knowledge of specific sports, particularly baseball and basketball. Prior experience in data collection or roles requiring high accuracy and real-time input. Adaptability and quick problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
