Job Title: Urban Youth Academy – Coordinator, Community Partnerships and EventsJob Summary: The Kansas City Urban Youth Academy is a nonprofit organization with the mission to empower Kansas City’s urban youth to unlock their potential and become the leaders of tomorrow through baseball and softball. This position is housed at the Urban Youth Academy (UYA) and supports the Academy's community engagement efforts through partnership development, community outreach, event coordination, and program promotion. The Community Partnerships & Events Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for community partnerships, builds and maintains relationships with schools, nonprofit organizations, businesses, and community stakeholders, and coordinates events that advance the Academy's mission. The Coordinator collaborates across departments to increase awareness and participation in Academy programs through community outreach, event execution, social media engagement, and community recruitment efforts. This position reports to the Manager, Community Engagement & Programs.
Position Accountabilities/Responsibilities:Community Partnerships:· Serve as the primary contact for all community partnership requests.

Administrative Duties:· Create and maintain a comprehensive calendar of events and community activities.· Track and report metrics on participation, attendance, and event success.· Capture and edit photos of events and activities for promotional materials and social media.· Post updates on social media and track engagement metrics.· Design TV graphics and signage for events. · Develop a building calendar that includes all events, programming, and open gym schedules.· Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all community plans, processes, and events.· Assist with budget tracking related to community engagement programs and events.· Maintain participation and partnership data for reporting purposes.· Prepare reports highlighting community engagement impact and outcomes.· Prepare and communicate timely facility, program, schedule, registration, cancellation, and closure updates through approved channels.· Ensure facility signage, television graphics, schedules, and informational materials are accurate, current, and updated as needed.· Provide timely status updates and communicate early when a deadline, commitment, or deliverable may be at risk.· Identify opportunities to improve checklists, templates, workflows, and planning processes.
Physical Requirements:Ability to lift items weighing as much as 25 pounds.
Must be able to work in a seated position for the majority of the workday.
Must be able to be productive utilizing a computer keyboard and telephone.
Must be able to be productive in a work environment where the noise level can be high at times.
Must be comfortable walking to navigate the facility to access the office, concourse, etc.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods during programs, camps, events, and community activities.
Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as required by deadlines and event scheduling.
