The New York Yankees Performance Science department is accepting applications for a Biomechanics Associate. Reporting to the Senior Biomechanist, this individual will serve as a research technician and manage operations in the Performance Science Laboratory. This position is based in Tampa, FL. Primary Responsibilities: Data Collection and Processing Coordinate with stakeholders to schedule data collection in the lab Oversee the preparation, setup, calibration and take-down of all materials and technologies related to biomechanics Manage data collection procedures and documentation Meticulously tag and upload biomechanical data feeds according to standard conventions Oversee timely and rigorous processing of motion capture data Laboratory Maintenance Ensure that all equipment is fully operational at all times Regularly interface with vendors to troubleshoot and ensure that software is up to date and functioning optimallyMaintain inventory of lab materials Administrative Conduct reviews to summarize scientific literatureRemain abreast of technological advancements in biomechanical measurement Adhere to ethical protocols when working with human subjects and protect privacy of all data Oversee lab Intern personnel Develop and maintain documentation to outline data collection and processing methods across all technologies Qualifications and Experience:This individual must possess a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) in kinesiology, biomechanics, engineering (biomedical or mechanical) or a related fieldDemonstrated ability and experience with biomechanical data collection and analysis is essential. Success in this position requires expertise in optical motion capture hardware and software. qualifications and skills of selected candidates. This is a contract position through October 31st, 2027.
