About the RoleThe Senior Manager, Marketing is poised to catapult an emerging brand into the local sports and entertainment landscape and national women’s sports ecosystem. experience and operations. Reporting to the Team President, the Senior Manager will work closely with team leadership, cross-functional colleagues within and across the broader AUSE organization, and league counterparts to lead all marketing activity for the team. Responsibilities Include:Develop and be accountable for a year-round tactical marketing plan that includes brand building, tentpole announcements, promotional sales campaigns, fan engagement, and grassroots club and community initiatives Manage all digital channels – inclusive of website, social, email, and paid media – drafting copy, procuring visual and creative assets, and publishing contentPartner with Creative Director and Communications Director for seamless storytelling and brand positioningBecome the expert and effectively engage with key stakeholders including all consumer audience segments, corporate and strategic partners, municipal and community groups, other local pro sports teams, national and local influencers, and leading voices in women’s sportsPlan and staff all local events and engagements, recruiting and managing street teams and brand ambassadors as neededOversee match day planning and production, managing event logistics, production timelines, run of show (including scripts, graphics packages, etc. Qualifications:3-5 years of marketing management experience in sports or live entertainmentExperience crafting holistic marketing plans that align with overall business goalsProven track record of delivering measurable campaigns, promotions, and eventsStrong understanding of the DMV market and sports landscape as well as the women’s sports ecosystem that translates into fan engagement strategiesSelf motivated and proactive communicator with the ability to adeptly manage the flow of all relationships and workstreamsStrong organization and time management skills to meet near-term deliverables, stay on track with long-term plans, react to new opportunities, and anticipate challenges Service mentality delivered through high-touch stakeholder communicationEnthusiasm for creative thinking that translates into actionable plansNatural and dynamic sales, presentation, and communication skillsExcellent teammate who can collaborate without ego and be flexible to changeExperience working in a fast-paced startup environment with a high volume of tasks and deliverablesOther duties relevant to growing the businessAdditional Details:Based in Washington, DC working primarily out of Audi Field and home playing venueExpected to work all home matches and team eventsAbility to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays as requiredProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerAble to lift 15+ pounds at a timeLocal travel to events and meetingsMinimal out of market travel (<10%)We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
