Job Title: Florida Operations AssistantDepartment: Florida OperationsLocation: Sarasota, FloridaReports To: Manager, EventsPosition Type: Part-time, HourlyPosition Summary:The Florida Operations Assistant will play a key role in the successful execution of Spring Training operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provide administrative and operational support for Florida Operations staff.
Assist with the coordination and execution of game day logistics, including stadium set-up/breakdown, signage, crowd control, giveaway distribution, and equipment setup at both Ed Smith Stadium and the Baseball Operations Center for all events including games, practices, and special eventsParticipate in internal meetings and development sessions throughout the internship.
Assist in the distribution and tracking of media credentials in coordination with the Public Relations or Media team.
Ensure proper security protocols are followed for credentialed individuals.
Oversight of employee, media, and vendor entry gate to ensure proper identification and access control.
Provide excellent customer service to staff, vendors, and media personnel.
Assist with community and outside events, such as food drives, representing the organization in a professional manner.
Support in-game promotions, including the writing of game day communication sheets and scripts, and assist with pregame ceremonies and postgame events.
Assist with Baseball Operations daily logistical needs, as needed.
Qualifications:Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Sports Management, Business, or a related field.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions for extended periods.
Professionalism, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
Experience in a sports or events environment is a plus.
Physical Requirements:Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Compensation:This is a seasonal position (January – March); compensation will include hourly pay and academic credit, if applicable.
