Group Sales Executive

The Wilmington Blue Rocks are seeking an enthusiastic individual for the position of Group Sales Executive. Responsibilities:Meet or exceed weekly, monthly, and yearly sales goalsMaintain and manage a list of potential business opportunities Conduct sales calls to area businesses, non-profits and other entities as it pertains to group events; follow up as necessaryProactively create opportunities for new business with existing customersSet appointments and communicate with all prospects with the intent to close businessCollaborate with other front office staff to achieve team goals and objectives as they pertain to sales, attendance, marketing, tickets and community exposureProvide excellent customer service at all timesExecute group contracts and deliver tickets to group customersOther duties as assigned Knowledge and Skill Requirements:Prior baseball sales experience preferred Prior sales and/or event management experienceA working knowledge of ticketing and CRM systems; previous experience with Glitnir Ticketing is a plusAbility to present sales material to potential clientsExcellent customer service skillsAttention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsIn-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite ProgramsThe ability (and willingness) to work varied and non-traditional hours; including nights, weekends, and holidays Technology Skills:Office Suite-Microsoft Office Operating System Software-Microsoft Windows Skills:Communication CreativityComposureNegotiating Multi-tasking LeadershipContext:40 hours per week in the off-seasonExtended hours per week during the seasonHigh levels of communication Working indoors for most office hoursOutside in the elements for games Fast paced environment with ability to think quickly and communicate wellOrganized to ensure deadlines are met We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
