    Job Title: Director of SalesCompany: Peak Sports MGMTLocation: Alabama State Athletics (Montgomery, Alabama)Job Type: On-SiteAbout Us: Peak Sports MGMT is a third-party multimedia rights and revenue partner for college athletic departments across the country. In partnership with Alabama State Athletics, our team is responsible for driving revenue through corporate partnerships while building strong relationships within the local market. We are building a high-performance sales organization inside college athletics. That means accountability, ownership, disciplined outreach, and a strong focus on revenue production. Position Overview: This role sits in college athletics, but it is not a “sports job.” It is a revenue role. The Manager of Sales will own corporate partnership revenue generation for Alabama State Athletics through new business development, outbound sales activity, and relationship-driven selling across sponsorship assets. This is a role for someone competitive, proactive, and motivated by the opportunity to build, sell, and produce. This is not a passive account management role. This is a sales seat for someone who wants the opportunity to impact revenue growth directly. What You'll Own:Drive corporate partnership revenue through sponsorship salesGenerate new business through consistent outbound outreach, prospecting, and pipeline developmentBuild relationships with local and regional businesses to create long-term partnership opportunitiesDevelop customized sponsorship packages that align with partner objectives and Alabama State Athletics assetsManage the full sales cycle from prospecting through negotiation and closingTrack pipeline activity, sales performance, and revenue progress with discipline and urgencyIdentify new categories, industries, and market opportunities for partnership growthCollaborate with internal stakeholders, including the Director of Service and Peak leadership, to ensure successful execution and fulfillmentAlign sales strategies with departmental revenue goals, forecasts, and budgetsAnalyze market trends, competitor activity, and local business landscape to inform sales approachDeliver a high standard of professionalism, communication, and follow-through with partnersWho This Role Fits:Wired for sales, competition, and accountabilityWants ownership over a market, a number, and a resultComfortable prospecting and creating opportunities instead of waiting for inbound interestCan build trust quickly and communicate value clearlyConfident in negotiating and closing businessWants a role where performance matters and revenue production is the standardLooking for growth, responsibility, and upside tied to resultsThis role is a strong fit for candidates coming from B2B sales, sponsorship sales, or other revenue-driving environments where success depends on prospecting, building relationships, and closing deals. Qualifications:2–5+ years of experience in B2B sales, sponsorship sales, business development, or another revenue-generating roleProven ability to prospect, build a pipeline, and close businessStrong negotiation skills with the ability to structure and close partnership agreementsExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsAbility to operate independently, stay organized, and manage activities with consistencyStrategic mindset with the ability to build and execute sales plansCompetitive mindset with a strong sense of urgency and ownershipWillingness to work nights, weekends, and event days as needed in a college athletics environmentA background in sports is not required. A background in producing, competing, and building revenue is more important.
