THE ROLEA Cook is responsible for the food preparation, execution, and delivery of safely handled food to the customer facing employees for service. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSMaintain a professional, positive attitude while delivering high-quality food service in a fast-paced environmentExecute opening and closing procedures, including prep, sanitation, and end-of-day reconciliationFollow daily prep lists and timelines, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and efficientlyPrepare food according to standardized recipes while adhering to safety and sanitation guidelinesMaintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, including storage spaces and equipmentDemonstrate strong knowledge of menu offerings, including specials and dietary considerationsCollaborate with kitchen staff, supervisors, and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless serviceMonitor inventory levels, complete weekly counts, and recommend items for orderingEnsure compliance with health, safety, and operational standards at all timesAdapt to changing assignments and support different areas based on business needsWork flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidaysQUALIFICATIONSThe ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED (culinary degree or certification preferred)2–4 years of experience in a fast-paced restaurant, catering, or food service environment. This individual is proactive, organized, and able to prioritize tasks while working under pressure in a dynamic setting. Candidates must demonstrate a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards, maintain a clean and professional appearance, and exhibit dependability and punctuality. The ability to read and follow recipes, prep lists, and menus, along with basic math and communication skills in English, is required. The role requires a team-oriented mindset, adaptability, and the ability to perform in a high-volume kitchen environment with close collaboration among staff. Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, walking long distances, and the ability to lift, carry, push, and move items weighing at least 30 pounds.
