Position OverviewThe Manager, Group Sales for the University of South Florida (USF) is responsible for developing, executing, and growing a comprehensive group ticket sales program across nine NCAA Division I sports.
Responsibilities:Group Sales Strategy & Revenue GenerationDesign and implement a scalable group sales program across nine Division I sportsIdentify, target, and cultivate relationships with schools, youth organizations, corporations, military groups, non-profits, and community partnersDevelop creative group ticket products, theme nights, and experiential offerings to drive demandMeet or exceed annual group sales revenue and attendance goalsCollaborate with other departments across USF Athletics to promote group initiativesSales Execution & Account ManagementGenerate new group sales leads through outbound prospecting, referrals, and community outreachManage a personal book of business while overseeing team pipelinesDeliver high-level customer service to group leaders before, during, and after eventsCoordinate group experiences including seating, ticket delivery, hospitality, and in-game recognitionTeam Leadership & ManagementManage, mentor, and motivate a team of two group sales Account Executives,set individual goals, monitor performance metrics, and conduct regular coaching sessionsAssist in onboarding, training, and professional development of sales staffFoster a positive, accountable, and performance-driven team cultureOperations & CollaborationTrack sales activity and results using CRM and ticketing systemsPrepare reports, forecasts, and performance updates for senior leadershipWork closely with ticket operations to ensure accurate fulfillment and executionSupport game-day operations and represent USF Athletics at select eventsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree required3–5 years of experience in group sales, preferably in collegiate or professional sportsProven ability to generate group ticket revenue and build client relationshipsPrevious experience leading or mentoring sales staff preferredStrong communication, organization, and time-management skillsAbility to work evenings, weekends, and event days as requiredPreferred Skills & AttributesStrategic mindset with a strong sales and customer service focusExperience selling across multiple sports or product linesHigh energy, self-motivated, and results-orientedCollaborative leadership style with attention to detailCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary with performance-based incentivesFull benefits packageProfessional development and advancement opportunities within USF Athletics & ElevateWorking EnvironmentThe incumbent primarily works in an office environment, however is expected to attend additional athletic event(s) and/or department events as scheduled/needed throughout the year.
