About the RoleThe MLBPAA is seeking a Manager of Events and Member Engagement to lead high-impact programs and events that connect former MLB players, their families and fans nationwide. responsibilities (set-up/tear-down), and post-event surveys What You’ll Do – Membership & EngagementManage membership and development operations, including solicitation and retention efforts:Cultivate & maintain relationships and provide exceptional customer service Develop and execute membership strategies with continuous evaluationEnhance and manage membership benefit offerings, including print and digital catalogsDevelop and manage fundraising campaigns (annual appeal, Giving Tuesday, year-end, etc. Qualifications & Preferred Skills:Ability to travel and work flexible hours as neededBachelor’s degree in a related fieldFluent in Spanish strongly preferredExperience in professional sports, events, or nonprofit settings a plusExperienced with event contracts and negotiating, meeting planning and product orderingBlackbaud experience preferred (Raiser’s Edge & Luminate Online) or equivalentProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteStrong organizational and project management skills with attention to detailExcellent presentation and interpersonal skillsSelf-motivated, collaborative, and able to thrive in fast-paced environmentsPositive attitude and works well both independently and collaborativelyAbility to lift/move event materials and boxes as neededWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
