Job Description
The 3-time WNBA Champions Los Angeles Sparks are seeking a Film Operations Intern who will assist the Scouting Analyst & Video Coordinator and coaching staff with all basketball film and video operations needs throughout the 2026 WNBA season.
responsibilities, and mentorship opportunities, our goal is to provide aspiring professionals with the tools they need to launch their career in basketball operations. This is a seasonal six-month internship from April 2026 through October 2026.
This is an unpaid internship and is for individuals who will receive college credit.
KEY PROGRAM BENEFITS:Hands-on experience with a professional women’s basketball teamExposure to professional-level video operations, live coding, and scouting workflowsMentorship and career development opportunities within Basketball OperationsDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:Practices & GamesLive code all Sparks practices and games using Hudl SportsCode, including remote live coding of road games from Los AngelesAssure accurate recording, logging, and editing of practice and game film to support individual player and team analysisAssist in preparation and distribution of post-practice and post-game film to coaches and playersFilm Operations & Scouting SupportWork closely and collaborate daily with the Video Coordinator on film preparation, breakdowns, and analysisAssist the Video Coordinator with creation, completion, and presentation of scouting film projectsServe as a liaison and translator for video and scouting software and hardware as neededAdditional SupportAid in game preparation and day-to-day basketball operations tasks as directed by the Video Coordinator or coaching staffQUALIFICATIONS & PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:Must be enrolled in an accredited college or universityMust be a rising sophomore, junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree or are currently enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institutionMust be eligible to receive college credit for this internship and provide proof of enrollment and college credit eligibilityStrong interest in basketball operations, video analysis, and coaching supportFamiliarity with or willingness to learn Hudl SportsCodeWomen’s basketball experience preferred, knowledge and familiarity with the WNBA more broadly, is a plusAbility to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays (as dictated by the WNBA calendar) requiredPlease include answers to the following questions when submitting your application.
