Hosts and Referees serve as representatives for Volo and its subsidiaries at facilities and bars and are the main point of contact for our players in leagues. This is a part time position, however, there are opportunities for advancement within the company. If you’re ready to embark on a career that will impact your life and your community while having lots of fun in the process, keep scrolling …Referee responsibilities including, but not limited to:Ensure a safe, fun, social and fair environment for all playersUnderstand and kindly and fairly enforce soccer rulesCommunicate with the office regarding any equipment, rule issues, player issues, etc. Update league scores in our user interfaceCheck in players in our user interfacePromote events and upcoming leagues via social media and on-field sellingHelp distribute marketing materialsEncourage and maintain a quality experience throughout the leagueSet up & take down field set up Meet players and make them feel welcomeMust-HavesMust be willing and able to work weekends and nights Interest in sports and social activitiesStrong attention to detailExcellent written and oral communication skillsWorks well in a team atmosphereAbility to multi-task and make decisions under pressureAbility to lift and carry 30-50 poundsPossess a positive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to communicate clearlyProficient customer service skillsHigh School Diploma /GED Equivalency A car or access to transportationAs a referee, you must have played the sport before, and attend a shadow shift with a veteran referee as well as a sport specific training as they are available.
