Position: Assistant Coach – Academy Department: Academy Reporting Relationship: Head of Coaching – Academy (Technical Director)Status: Full-Time (Exempt) About Charlotte FCCharlotte Football Club is the Major League Soccer Club in the Carolinas.
OverviewThe Charlotte FC Academy vision is to provide a high-performance environment for the most talented, high-potential young soccer players from across the Carolinas and beyond.
responsibilities include the following:Assist Head Coaches with training session design and executionAssist with match preparation and advanced scoutingAssist and collaborate on Individual Development Plans (IDP) for all playersAttend all matches and travel with Academy teams as required.
Provide formal and in-formal player reviews at the direction of the club.
Other duties may be assigned.
QualificationsUSSF “A” or “B” coaching license (or foreign equivalent) At least 3 years of coaching experience Experience within a professional youth development environment preferredKnowledge of the MLS Player Development PathwayValid US Driver’s License. Availability to work in non-traditional settings, and flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
Must pass pre-employment screens.
Excellent Skills in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint.
Video editing and presentation capabilitiesMust pass pre-employment screeningMust be eligible to work in the United States Skills for SuccessStrong work ethic and attention to detailStrong verbal and written communication skillsWorks well within in a collaborative, team-driven, and goal-based environmentWorks well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.

Must maintain complete confidentiality of privileged, and/or sensitive information.
Must, at all times, display the character and values of the Tepper Sports & Entertainment brandThe ability to prioritize workload to manage time and tasks.
RequirementsThis position operates in a professional setting and on-field training environment. Must be comfortable with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word and other platforms. Local travel to events will be required. Must be able to attend all Charlotte FC Academy matches, home and awayMust be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. Ability to remain sitting for up to 8 hours at a desk and computer.
Ability to remain standing/walking for up to 8 hours.
Ability to climb stairs.
Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, and endure weather conditions, including rain, wind, high and low temperatures, etc.
Must be able to work in non-traditional settings, and work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
