The Cedar Rapids Kernels are seeking a motivated and energetic Operations Intern to join our team for the upcoming season. experience in both Stadium Operations and Baseball Operations. As an Operations Intern, you will be an essential part of ensuring our ballpark runs smoothly and that fans, players, and community partners enjoy a first-class experience. Key ResponsibilitiesYou will gain exposure to a wide range of operational areas, including but not limited to:Assisting with stadium upkeep during off weeks or when operations staff is limitedSupporting game-day setup and general ballpark preparationEnsuring the press box is fully staffed (official scorer, scoreboard operator, pitch clock timer)Participating in community initiativesAssisting other departments on game days to ensure smooth operation across the organizationHelping execute special events held at the stadiumSetting up décor and elements for theme nightsSupporting game-used jersey auctions and other promotional activitiesLearning day-to-day press box and clubhouse operationsHelping with tarp pulls and other field-related tasks as neededWhat We’re Looking ForThis internship is ideal for individuals pursuing a career in sports management, event operations, or community relations. experience that prepares you for a future career in professional sports.
